Why Travel to Bhutan

Being one of the least developed yet the happiest country in the world, Bhutan will definitely get you a great surprise. Traveling to Bhutan is a quite different experience – you will discover natural beauty and Buddhist treasures more than anywhere else, see no disturbing traffic lights, explore the ancient traditional dzongs and monasteries, trek the wondrous Himalaya, amazed at the Tiger’s Nest perched on the precarious cliff, meet the hospitable local peoples and have an unforgettable talk with them about the philosophy of simple life. Beyond that, coming to explore the traditional festivals in this nation will also be fascinating.

Best Places to Visit in Bhutan

Top places to visit with Namaste Retreats: Taj Mahal, Jaipur’s palaces, Kerala backwaters, Varanasi’s ghats, Goa’s beaches, Rishikesh’s spiritual retreats, and the serene Himalayan landscapes. Unforgettable experiences await.

PARO

Paro is frequently referred to as the "Last Shangri-La" on earth because of its lush flora and mysterious religious landmarks, including The Paro Taktsang, Paro Dzong, Ta Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, and Drukgyel Dzong. The Paro Taktsang, commonly known as "Tiger's Nest," is the most famous one perching on the cliffs of the valley where Paro is situated. You've probably seen photographs of it in your social media feed more often than not. The complex was built at the end of the 17th century, and despite the passage of time, it has remained 900 meters above the ground on a cliff overlooking Paro.

THIMPHU

The distinctive cultural riches in Thimphu were nourished by the Great Himalayan Range, which helped to establish Thimphu as a cultural hotspot in Bhutan. Travelers often explore the Thimphu Dzong, Buddha Dordenma, and Memorial Chorten.

PUNAKHA

Punakha is given fame by its Punakha Dzong, often regarded as Bhutan's most stunning Buddhist shrine. What is less commonly known about the site is that practically all of the nation's treasures are stored here, and the royal family has even had weddings here.

POKHARA

Pokhara, the second largest city in Nepal, is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. As the gateway to the Annapurna snow mountains, Pokhara was made for adventurers. Trekking, kayaking, boating, hiking, and paragliding, you can imagine all here. And with tranquil lakes and views of the Himalayas, this city is also ideal for those seeking inner peace and a place to unwind.

TRONGSA

It is the location of the royal family's ancestral home, from where the country's first two kings governed. A spectacular monastery called Trongsa Dzong is close by. With its staggered layout of Buddhist structures, it is a marvel of Bhutanese architecture.
